Ce livre de lâImam Malik nommĂ© Al-Mouwatta Ă©tait aussi le premier livre composĂ© dans le hadith et la jurisprudence en mĂȘme temps.
Câest-Ă -dire quâil y avait dans le mĂȘme livre les hadith du ProphĂšte (salla l-Lahou âalayhi wa sallam) et la jurisprudence.
Il est resté à le composer pendant quarante années.
Il comporte beaucoup de chaĂźnes de transmission que les spĂ©cialistes de hadith, les mouhaddith ont jugĂ©es comme Ă©tant les plus authentiques des hadith.Ach-Chafiâi a dit au sujet du livre Al-Mouwatta : « Il nâest pas paru sur terre un livre aprĂšs le livre de Allah âle Qour-anâ qui soit plus authentique que le livre de Malik ».Dans son Ă©poque, il a Ă©tĂ© dit : « Est-ce que les gens Ă©mettent des avis de jurisprudence alors quâil y a Malik Ă MĂ©dine !

Il sâappelle Malik fils de Anas fils de Abou âAmir Anas fils de Al-Harith fils de Ghayman Al-Asbahi Al-Madani.Son ascendance remonte jusquâĂ Yaârab fils de Yachjab fils de Qahtan.
Son ancĂȘtre sâappelle Malik fils de Anas.
Il fait parti des grands successeurs des compagnons et dâun de ceux qui ont portĂ© le corps de âOuthman Ibnou âAffan que Allah lâagrĂ©e, de nuit jusquâĂ sa tombe tout comme cela a Ă©tĂ© mentionnĂ© par Al-Qouchayri.Le pĂšre de son grand-pĂšre câest le compagnon âAbou Malik qui a Ă©tĂ© au cĂŽtĂ© du ProphĂšte (salla l-Lahou âalayhi wa sallam) dans les diffĂ©rentes batailles mis Ă part celle de Badr.Quand Ă la mĂšre de lâImam Malik, elle sâappelle Al-âAliyah fille de Charik fils de âAbdou r-Rahman Al-Asdiyah.Les fils de lâImam Malik sont Yahya, Mouhammad et Hammad.LâImam Malik est le fondateur de lâune des quatre Ă©coles de jurisprudence qui a Ă©tĂ© conservĂ©e, rĂ©putĂ©e et diffusĂ©e dans les pays des musulmans.LâImam Malik est nĂ© Ă MĂ©dine lâIlluminĂ©e en lâan 95 de lâhĂ©gire.
